This week has been a milestone for Mr. Shayden. He has successfully learned how to put himself down for a nap - with a little help from Mommy - and now loves to cuddle up in his crib twice a day for his rest time.
On Sunday he gave us quite a surprise by pulling himself up in his crib and falling onto the slat sides (thankfully on the back or he would have fallen out as we still had the mattress up high - didn't think he could do that at this age). So Daddy came to the rescue and lowered his crib mattress so now we find him standing up in his crib at times waiting for us to come and greet him.
Also this week Shayden has started crawling...oh my word! He isn't the best at it yet but can definitely get himself across a room and loves discovering everything around the house that he can now reach and get into. Can you say 'baby proofing time'...we have some work to do. Here is a video of him strutting his stuff.

Shayden, your mommy is one happy girl now that you can put yourself to sleep for naptime.

Such a big week for the little guy! He's the cutest crawler I've ever seen--you can just see how proud he is of himself! :)
